Older son of Heinrich Herman Koenig and his first wife, Martha, John H. Koenig married Ellen Williams in Osage County, MO, on 12 Apr 1891. Their two daughters, Mollie and Alpharetta, were born in CO. Sometime after Ellen Koenig's death in 1905, John Koenig married Ida Kelsay. By 1910, John H. Koenig was a retail merchant in Miller County, MO. The Koenig household consisted of daughters Mollie and Alpharetta, his wife, Ida, and his son, John H. Jr., born circa 1909. A review of online records appears to indicate that both Mollie and Alpharetta married and lived for a time in Kansas City, MO.
Birth and death dates along with interment were taken from his MO Death Certificate # 24486.
