(Hillcrest Cemetery, Bowie County, TX), Raymond Claude, and Alice Juanita. John, His father Aaron H. Malaby (Dollarhide Cemetery in Foreman, AR), and his grandfather John Malaby (died in Lycoming County, PA in 1851) were all blacksmiths. John and his wife Hattie were also parents to three children who died at a very young age, two as infants and one, Florence, who died at the age of about three years. He was an accomplished musician (violin) and was a member of Rose Hill Baptist church in Texarkana.
