Joey Del Ray, 22, a Navy fireman, died Monday in a Great Lakes hospital.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Mayer Funeral Home.
Mr. Ray was born Oct 2, 1959, in Orlando, Fla., a son of William Elbert Ray and Elizabeth Ann Tompkins Ray. He attended Georgetown schools, was in the Navy for the past two years, and had recently returned from a tour of duty in the Middle East. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are his parents; three brothers, William E. Ray and L. Alan Ray, both of Georgetown, and Gary D. Ray of Andrews; two sisters, Julie Ray aand Shelia Ray, both of Georgetown; paternal grandmother, Sadie Bell Taylor Ray of Andrews; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Russ Tompkins of Georgetown.
