Helen McKinney Glasgow, age 76, of Muscle Shoals, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Thursday at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Brother Van Eddington officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be nephews. She attended First Presbyterian Church of Sheffield. She was retired from the Muscle Shoals school system for more than 40 years and a member of the Alabama Education Association and Alpha Delta Kappa. She was a faithful wife and a loving mother who will be dearly missed. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Gertrude McKinney, and a brother, Tommy McKinney. Survivors are her husband, Robert Glasgow Sr.; son, Robert Glasgow Jr. (Darcy); and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
