John W, Aalfs, age 77, formerly of Akron, died June 21 at a Yankton, S. D. hospital. Funeral services were conducted June 24 at Sioux Falls, S.D. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Akron.
Mr. Aalfs was born July 26,1893 on a farm near Le Mars and grew up at Akron. He married Mae L. Halverson October 22, 1914 in Union County. He farmed near Akron and moved to Humbolt, S.D. in 1942, retiring in 1966. ,

Survivors are his widow; one daughter; one son; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister and two brothers.
