President of the Howard Association in 1878, a first responder to the rumor of Yellow Fever in Grenada, MS. He never returned and was among the first Memphians and Howards to die. His wife Ione died a week later after joining him. This letter shows the expenditure of removing their bodies back to Memphis.

Minutes of Meeting of Committee this day, E. Bullington presiding
Report Of The President:
The President reported the arrangement made by him to transport the family of
the late Major Anderson to Germantown at the cost of $20.00. On the motion the
secretary was authorized to draw a warrart in favor of Dr. Bullington for the
account so incurred by him in such transpotation $20.00
