Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville.
Mr. Strohl was born in Mode on March 6, 1937, the son of Clyde D. and Lucille Arthur Strohl. He worked in construction out of Decatur Labor Union Local 159 and for Fisher-Stoune Inc. of Decatur for 36 years before retiring. He was an Army veteran, a member of Shelbyville Moose Lodge 1294, and a 43-year member of Decatur Labor Union Local 159. He married Delores M. Hill on Dec. 7, 1957.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Kelly J. Strohl and wife Cindy of Oxford, Ind.; Michael D. Strohl and wife Valerie of Indianapolis, Ind.; mother, Lucille Smith of Findlay; brother, Darrell Strohl and wife Marty of Decatur; sisters, Florence Dammerman and husband Ernie of Mattoon; Peggy Gross and husband Kelly of Taylorville; Barbara Schultz and Norma Strohl, both of Mount Zion; grandchildren, David, Claire, Rachel, and Madelyn Strohl.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Larry and Billy Strohl.
