Elna Yaeger
Elna L. Yaeger, 84, of Altoona, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Grace Edgewood in Altoona.
Elna was born on April 27, 1927 in the town of Pleasant Valley to Roy and Ella (Green) Hazen. She was united in marriage to Cornelius Yaeger on May 19, 1945. Elna had many special friends, did volunteer work, and was active in her church, Lake Street United Methodist.
Elna is survived by her children, Tom, Roger and Margaret; grandchildren, Sarah and Amy; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, David; and five brothers, David, Vian, Jesse, Harvey, Emery, and Stanley; two sisters, Fern Bremel and Valma O'Mara; and one sister-in-law, Margaret Yaeger.
Special thanks for all the care givers, Hospices, Grace Edgewood, Sue, Pastor Deb, and special friends, Pat and Nancy.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 11:00 am at Forest Hill Cemetery, with Dr. David Kruse officiating.
