Paul C Sylvester, 68, 219 West Charles Street, died at Indianapolis Veterans Hospital Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Sylvester was a World War I veteran, US Marines, a retired Ball Brothers employee, a former painter and decorator and a past adjutant of American Legion Post 19, and had been a Muncie, In. resident for 39 years.

Paul was a member of American Legion Post 19, the 40 and 8, Eagles Lodge 231 and the JOUAM.

Survivors include his former wife, Nellie Sylvester (Vangsness), a son, Paul John of Croton, Ohio; two daughters, Miss Una Sylvester of Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Paul Anderson (Virginia) of Virginia Beach, Va., and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10am Saturday at the Parson Mortuary with Rev. R.J. Lavin, pastor of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, in charge. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 pm tonight.
