MIDDLETON — Interment service for Lee Ferris Smith, 85, of Nampa, a former Middleton farmer who died Sunday in a Nampa nursing home, will be conducted at Middleton at 10:30 a. m. Wednesday. The Rev. Bob Hammond of Nampa will officiate. The cortege will leave Flahiff Chapel in Caldwell at 10:15 a. m.
Mr. Smith was born near Princeton, Wis., Feb. 6, 1879, and moved with his parents to Clark County, Wis., when he was an infant. He was married Nov. 3, 1904, in Prairie Farm, Wis., to Susie Egger and they moved to a farm near Middleton in 1918. Mrs. Smith died in 1944 in Caldwell. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Wisconsin and the First Church of God in Middleton.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Frances Hadsall and Mrs. Eleanor Kropf, both of Middleton, and Mrs. Margaret Kleint and Mrs. Lucile Greene, both of Donnelly, and 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A son, Clarendon L. Smith, died July 17, 1964, in Clarkston, Wash.
