Ida Mae Alford, 74, of Hurricane, died Nov. 16, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital, Huntington, after a long illness. She was a charter member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, near Hurricane, a lifelong resident of Hurricane and a homemaker. Surviving: son, David of Hurricane; daughters, Helen Moss of Hurricane, Connie Sowards of Concord, N.C.; brother, Morrison Clagg of Milton; sisters, Anna Templeton and Neva Jordan, both of Milton; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Allen Funeral Home, Hurricane. Burial will be in Alford Family Cemetery, Clymers Creek, near Hurricane. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
