Oral Curtis was born May 9, 1920 in Ucon, Idaho, to William Charles and Elizabeth Bell Ellsworth Curtis. He was joined that day by a twin sister Erma. He passed away Dec. 17, 2010 after being separated from his sweetheart eight long months. Oral married Alice Bowles, June 1, 1938 in Rigby, Idaho; they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. Oral worked as a farmer, truck driver, mechanic, electrician, and handy man, always willing to help anyone in need. He loved serving in his church callings, Home Teacher, Counselor in the Bishopric, Missionary and High Counselor. He was preceded in death by his sweetheart, son Steven, parents and eight brothers and sister, several grandchildren and great-grand-children. He is survived by his sons Zane (Mary) Curtis, Fred (Laura) Curtis, daughters, Lona (Kaye) Fox and Kaye Curtis, adopted daughter Sian Morgan Allred, and many grand and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 27, 2010 in the Alpine Stake Center, 98 East Canyon Crest Road, Alpine, Utah at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be Tuesday Dec. 28 at 12:00 noon in Ucon, Idaho. Online guest book at wingmortuary.com. The family expresses appreciation to the staff at River Meadows and Sunbrook Hospice for their kind and loving care of our father. A special thanks to Wing Mortuary also. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a contribution to the Humanitarian Fund or charity of your choice.
