Beverly J. Dotts, 72, of Bedford, passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday at Westview Manor in Bedford.

She was born March 10, 1938, in Indianapolis, to Charles Schubert Sr. and Wilma (Swain) Schubert Smith. She married Estill (Gene) Dotts and they have been married 55 years and he survives.

She is also survived by four children, Paul Dotts and wife Lisa, Debbie Yarberry and husband Jay, and Caroline Wells and husband David, all of Bedford, and Brian Dotts and wife Charity of Mitchell; grandchildren, Bradley Dotts and wife Stephanie, Morgan Dotts, Jared Dotts, Crystal Harris, Tricia Dotts, Dustin Parsley, Justin Parsley, Alex Smith, and Natasha Stevens; great-grandchildren, Casydi Dotts, Caetlyn Dotts, Cyarah Dotts, and Jeffery Dotts; brothers and sisters, Patricia Rains, Barbara Barger, Charlotte Glenn, Charles "Chuck" Schubert Jr., Marilyn Dye, and Pamela Ford, all of Indianapolis, Sharon Harris of Ashley, and John Clark Schubert of St. Petersburg, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Schubert Sr., and her mother and stepfather, Wilma Swain Schubert Smith and Truman Smith; and one sister Phyllis Bouher.

Beverly was a homemaker and ceramic maker, she operated Bev's Ceramic Shop in Bedford and Indianapolis. She attended St. Ann's Catholic Church in Indianapolis and St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church in Bedford.

Funeral services will be at noon on Friday at Cresthaven Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cresthaven Memory Gardens.

Visitation hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, with rosary service at 7:30 p.m., and from 10 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.
