According to Nina's birth record she was born on June 24, 1898 which is a different year than on her grave marker. She was born unto parents Joseph and Lydia Ann (Wheeler) Bowers. Her siblings include Elizabeth, Mabel Mae, Edith and Pearly.

Nina married Edward J. Ferguson on July 3, 1911 in Lambton, Ontario, Canada. Edward brings to this marriage a son named Floyd. Nina and Edward had two children, Jesse James and Myrtle Blanche who was born after her father's death.

After Edward's death in 1913, Nina married Farland Wilson on July 14, 1915 in Peck, Michigan. They had two children, Walter and Liddie.

According to Nina's death certificate, she died from influenza and pneumonia. She was laid to rest in Elk Township Cemetery on February 22nd. Nina was survived by husband, Farland.

It appears that Nina's children were raised by family, in particular, by her sister Mae Gulliver. It is possible the children were legally adopted by her since they took Gulliver as their last name.
