WOOSTER - Mary Lou Gumm 81, of Wooster died Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Wooster Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday August 31, 2011 at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. Wooster, Ohio 44691. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M.
She was born June 2, 1930 in Good Intent PA near Claysville, the daughter of Ray and Margaret White Hancher. On December 19, 1952 she married Bernard Gumm who preceded her in death on April 3, 1997.
She had worked as a beautician and as a caterer at the YMCA for 25 years. She had also owned the Market Grill in Wooster and was a member of the Wooster United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her Nieces and Nephews: Kim (Dennis) Carney of Wooster, Miles Petri of Daytona Beach Florida, Linda Secrist of Pleasant Grove, Ohio, Mike (Jan) Hancher of Washington PA., Mary Jo Reamer of Jensen Beach , Florida, and Gary (Karen) Hancher of Cannonsburg PA.
Along with her husband and parents Mary Lou was preceded in death by her siblings: Betty Petri, Carl Hancher, Ray ?Birdie? Hancher Jr. and Clyde Hancher.
