Nellie Ellen Pletch, 98, of Decatur, was welcomed home into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011.
Nellie was born Oct. 24, 1912, in Neoga, daughter of Joel and Hattie White Strohl. She married Vernon Clay Pletch of Fairmount on March 12, 1932. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother because of her love for the Lord. She was equally loved by her family.
Surviving: three daughters, Mary (Tom) Atkins of Maroa, Norma (John) Chow of Georgetown and Bonnie (Reggie) Miles of Decatur; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Dona Petty.
She was preceded by her husband, granddaughter Tatiana and nine siblings.
