First born Son of William Oliver Hayden b.Jan 1883 in Gentry County, MO and d.21 Dec 1936 in Carl Junction, MO and Clara Belle Stegall b. Apr 1886 in Seneca, MO and d.abt 1922. His parents were married abt 1901, most likely in St. Louis, MO.

William Marshal Hayden, who always went by Jack, married Dona Akin b.27 Nov 1901 on 27 Sep 1924 in Joplin, MO.

Jack worked his early years in the mines, then worked as a driver for Coca Cola in later years. He died early in life from Hodgkins Disease.

He and Dona had one child:

Clara E. Hayden, b.31 Oct 1935 in Carl Junction, MO and d.15 Jun 1997 in Joplin, MO.
Married: Allen Ensor abt 1945
I would suspect that Clara's middle name was Elizabeth, after Dona's mother, but I never heard it mentioned.

Dona and her husband Jack took in my father, Robert Lee Akins, after the tragic railroad death of his father Carl Lee Akin/Akins, half brother of Dona, in 1942. My father was 17 at the time. My father shortly afterwards enlisted in the U.S. Navy on 3 Jun 1943 and entered WW2. He was always very close to Dona and Jack.

Dona and Jack are buried side by side.
