Aiken, S.C. physician and militia officer. He was the son of Dr. Samuel Percival. William F. Percival was the captain of the Pickens Rangers (Company D of the Mounted Regiment, South Carolina Militia), organized in Aiken, S.C. in 1861 and disbanded in 1862. This unit was a twelve-month force enlisted for state defense. Percival was also captain of the Aiken Mounted Infantry, raised in 1864.
