Carl Hancock, age 69, of Wayne County, passed away on March 29 at VA Medical Center in Lexington. He was born in Forbus, Tennessee on June 14, 1927, the son of Merton and Florence Dishman Hancock. Both parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by four children, Rick, Phillip and Gregory Hancock and Holly Murphy; three brothers, Fred, Guy and Earl Hancock; seven sisters, Lois Piercy, Gladys Roy, Chris Neat, Bonnie Claywell, Hazel Fulton, Eva Jones and Doris Watson.
Preceding him in death is a son, Marshall.
Funeral services were held April 1 with burial in Gap Creek Cemetery.
