The remains of Lenore J. Eaton, local businessman who died at Rochester. Minn.. Wednesday, were returned to this city at about 3 a m. today and will be kept at the Boston funeral home until Friday afternoon, when they will be taken to the family residence at 306 North Illinois avenue. Funeral services will be held at Church of the Intercession, conducted by Rev, Carl William Eothe, at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, followed by interment in Forest cemetery. Shortly after Mr. Eaton's death at 8:15 o clock Wednesday morning a post mortem examination was conducted at the Rochester hospital and the cause of death determined as hemorrhages resulting from a cancer in glands located along the side of the backbone on each side of the body and completely concealed by a portion of the small intestine where the intestine leaves the stomach. Because of the location of the glands and other abdominal organs in front of the glands, it was impossible to detect the cancerous growth by x-ray, any other means of examination or at the time of the operation to which Mr. Eaton had submitted. Cancer in this location is declared by physicians to be very rare and inoperable. The cancer had eaten through the walls of the intestines, thus opening the large blood vessels and causing the hemorrhages. In addition to his Elk and Kiwanis affiliations, Mr. Eaton was member of two Masonic bodies here, Evergreen lodge No. 93 and Forest chapter No. 34
