Edward was the son of Edward Crossett and Elizabeth Cady of Shutesbury, Mass. and Duxbury, Vermont. He was married to Hannah Corben, with whom he had many children born in Duxbury. He appears on the 1810, 1820, 1830, and 1840 federal censuses in Duxbury. He died testate with the order of notice dated 11 April 1843, and the will probated on 2 May 1843.
