Joe Werner, 73, Route 1, Hickman, was pronounced dead on arrival Saturday at the Doctors Clinic in Union City following an appartent heart attack.


Services for Mr. Werner were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heard Catholic Church in Hickman, with Father Emmett Zachman and Father Paul St. Charles officiating. Burial was in Hickman Cemetery.


The Pallbearers were James Roberts, Tony Lattus, Pat Lattus, Andy Lattus, Mark Lattus, Doug Werner, James Andrerson and Clifton Everett.


Mr. Werner was born March 30, 1904, son of the late Charlie and Mary Stahr Werner.


He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mignon Werner of Hickman; two sons, Frank Werner of Saginaw, Mich., and Paul Werner of Woodland Mills; two daughter, Mrs. Anna Terrett of Union City and Mrs. Mary Joe Lattus of Hickman; a sister, Mrs. Emmie Ledwidge of Hickman, and 12 grandchildren.

WILLIAMS--WERNER


Hickman, Ky., July 34. (Special) Miss Mignon Williams and Joseph A. Werner, well known young people residing south of town, were married at 7:30 this morning at Sacred Heart Catholic church, the Rev. Father W. P. Gettelflnger offlciating. Miss Margaret Johnson and Raymond Mangold were attendants, with Master Ernest Johnson, Charles Oriswold, Paul Mangold and Silas Cissell as altar attendants. The church was decorated in mid-summer flowers, with the altar especially beautiful, using a pink and white motif, with background ot ferns.


The bride wore a creation of white georgette and lace and long wedding veil. Miss Mary Burton, aunt of the bride, played Mendelssohn's wedding march as they entered, and during mass, following the ceremony, Misses Frances Johnson and Phebe Williams sang hymns.


They left immediately after the ceremony for several days' wedding trip to St. Louis and Centralis, Illinois.


The bride is a daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. Joe Williams, and is 18 years old. The bridegroom is a son of Mrs. Mary Werner, and is 22 years old.
