Elder Allen was the son of Lee Allen and Dora Pitts Allen. He was educated in the Houston County School System. He was a member of the Old Mt Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Hayneville, Georgia. He received the call into the Ministry and at the time of his passing was the Pastor of the Old Mt Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Hayneville, GA; New Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Warner Robins,GA; St Paul Primitive Baptist Church in Pulaski County, GA and Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Perry, GA.
He was married to Mary Liza Bryant Allen. She preceded him in death on April 3,1990.

5 Sons: John Allen(Catherine), Hendrick Allen(Carolyn), Sgt Samuel Allen(Kathy), Keith Newberry and James Turner.
5 Daughters: Silvonia Dyson(Edward), Alberta A. Barrett(Harry), Cora H. Sanders(Issac), Bessie Holmes and Rose Mary Lane.
2 Brothers: John Allen and Henry Allen.
2 Devoted Nephews: Waymon Odom and Shep Bass.
Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Services were held Friday, June 4,1993 at 1pm in the Sanctuary of Old Mt Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Hayneville, Georgia with Elder Elihue Spearman Jr officiating.
