VERONICA EASTMAN
Veronica Kelly Eastman, wife of Clifford L. Eastman, a resident of West Meadow Development, Pownal, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon in Cambridge, N.Y.
Born in Bennington on Aug 27, 1918, daughter of the late Edward L. Kelly and Helena (LaFlamme) Kelly, she received her schooling in Bennington and was a graduate of Bennington High School.
Mrs. Eastman was employed at CB Sports in Bennington. In previous years she was employed at various restaurants in the area as a waitress. She married Mr. Eastman on June 19, 1965.
Survivors, besides her husband, include one daughter, Helena Whitman of Pownal; four sons, Arthur Noble of Concord, N.H., James Noble of Key Largo, Fla., John Noble of Pownal and Robert Noble of Bennington; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Beatrice Cullinan of Arlington; one brother, Lorenzo Kelly of Fairbanks, Alaska; two stepsons, Gary and Gregory Eastman, both of California; nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held from the Mahar & Son Funeral Home Tuesday at 10 am. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9. Burial will be in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the Vermont Heart Association through the offices of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home.
