Mrs. Nora Porter Services Today

Mrs. Nora Myrtle Porter, 69 years old, widow of Rev. W.L. Porter, died at her home near Russell Springs, Tuesday afternoon [June 14] following an illness of several months...

She is survived by four sons, Chester, Clyde, Carthel and James Porter, and two daughters, Mrs. Wilmoth Bradshaw, of Warsaw, Virginia, and Mrs. Winnie Green[e], of Los Angeles, California. Her husband passed away about six years ago and one son [Clyde's twin, Clifton V.] died in infancy. She is survived by two brothers, L.E. Bernard of Russell Springs and L.G. Bernard, of Jamestown, and one sister, Mrs. Sedalia Rexroat, of Russell Springs.

The deceased was a member of Russell Springs Baptist church where funeral services will be held today (Thursday), conducted by the pastor of her church, Rev. S.B. Rowe, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery near Welfare church.

Rippetoe funeral home of Russell Springs will have charge of all arrangements.
