Born October 12, 1924, in Greene County, she was a homemaker, and member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe Lee and Nancy Hyde of Paragould, and David Ernest and Terry Hyde of Lander, Wyoming; three daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn Sue and Wilburn Griggs of Paragould, and Jackie Shaw and Dr. Tina Quinn, both of Jonesboro; one sister, Johnnie Lou Carr of Paragould, fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie "Pat" and Ada Jones Higgins; her husband, Charlie Smith, and by three brothers, and three sisters.
Graveside funeral services were held at St. Mary's Cemetery.
