VERDUCCI, Anthony "Tony" 73, formerly of Tampa, passed away on August 23, 2011. Born, in San Francisco, California, he was a lifelong resident of Tampa; he in 1962 he became a member of the Tampa Fire Department, up until 1983, when he retired as a Supervisor of Inspections. He then went on to the Pinellas Park Fire Department in 1986 his retirement as Deputy Fire Chief and Fire Marshall in 1997. Anthony is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years; Linda Verducci, three daughters; Darcel Schouler (Robert), Lisa Bernard (Scott), and Kami Jackson (Mike), 5 grandchildren; Kelsie Rodgers, Jacob Jackson, Brandon Bernard, Angelina Bernard and Daniel Schouler. He was preceded in death by his mother; Mary Fernandez, father; Victor Verducci, and his Dad, Angel Fernandez. Anthony was an active member of the following associations; Tampa Bay Area Fire Marshall Association, Pinellas County Fire Chiefs Association, Safety Educators Association, the Fire Marshalls Round Table, the Southwest Director of the Florida Fire Marshall the Florida Fire Inspectors Association and the Florida Fire Inspector Association, The Florida West Coast Fire Inspectors Association, PARCO and N.F. P. A. Visitation for Mr. Verducci will take place August 30, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., at the garden of Memories Funeral Home, with Funeral Service set for Wednesday August 31, 2011 at 10:00 A.M... Interment to follow at the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. It is the family's wishes that in Lieu of flowers donation can be made to the Tampa Fire Fighters Museum, 720 Zack Street, Tampa Florida 33602.
