He was born on August 30, 1938 at Sheridan, the son of William Perry Sharp and Tula Graves Sharp. He was preceded in death by his wife; Loretta Matson; his parents; and one sister.
He was a retired plumber.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Rhonda Matson of Hot Springs and Burt and Michelle Matson of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Hope Matson of Miami, Florida, Hunter Matson of Washington, D.C., Halston Ballard and Amber Smith both of Hot Springs; two brothers; two sisters; and nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
