Odell was never married and always lived at home. He was delivered by Dr. B. F. Wright and lived his entire life in the house he was born in. He was a farmer and cut pulpwood for a living. He was terrified of thunder storms. Odell loved to eat. He love to go to places where political people were speaking.

Odellas Wright Leatherman, 73 of Martin, WV Grant County died Friday June 02, 1995 at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg.

Born May 26, 1922 in Williamsport, WV, he was the son of the late James W. and Lulie (Rotruck) Leatherman.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Herbert A. Leatherman, a half-brother, Ray C. Leatherman, and one sister, Myrtle Leatherman Michael.

Mr. Leatherman was a timberman and a farmer.

He was a member of the Ridge Dunkard Brethren Church, Martin.

Mr. Leatherman was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He is survived by five nephews, Walter Michael of Moorefield, WV, Paul Leatherman and Norman Leatherman both of New Creek, WV, Gary Leatherman and Sheriff John Leatherman both of Petersburg, four nieces, Dorothy Michael Hughes of New Creek; Beatrice Michael House of Rawlings, Maryland; Rosalie Leatherman Junkins of New Creek; and Rosanna "Jenny" Leatherman Rexrode of Petersburg; 10 great–nieces; 12 great-nephews; and several great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Monday June 05, 1995 at the Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, with the Rev. Greg Rotruck officiating.

Interment will be in the Knobley Cemetery, Martin, WV
