He was a retired employee of Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home, WWII Veteran, over 50 yrs member Mystic Lodge #405, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Antioch Temple, charter member of Temple Guard, R. O. J., American Legion #675, VFW #2800 & former member of Oakwood Kiwanis Club & past President.
Survived by his wife of 33 years Shirley Moore Althoff, children Laramie & Mark Jung, Mike & Julie Althoff, Serena & Jim Cordonnier, MaryAnn "M.A." McGowan, C. Arthur McGowan, Mike & Tracy McGowan, grandchildren Stephanie & John Malik, Alex & Carolyn Vincze, Andrew & Molly Vincze, Katie, Laura & Nicole Cordonnier, T. J. Hall, Benny McGowan, Josh & Mikala McGowan, Great Grandchildren Tess, Nick and Georgi Malik, and Zoe Vincze, sister LaVey (Marvin) Phillips.
