Anne Odom became an expert on Russian art, and was Curator and later Curator Emeritus at Washington, DC's Hillwood Museum & Gardens. Her published works, alone and in conjunction with co-authors, include: Russian Enamels: Kievan Rus to Fabergé (1996); A Taste for Splendor: Russian Imperial and European Treasures From the Hillwood Museum" (1998); "Russian Iimperial Porcelain at Hillwood" (1999); "The Art of the Russian North" (2001); and "What Became of Peter's Dream?: Court Culture in the Reign of Nicholas II" (2003). She died of injuries sustained when she was struck by a bus while walking across the street in Middlebury.
