Emmie Tanner Mann High, 91, former teacher and former owner of High's Grocery, died Saturday at Haywood Park Methodist Hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, where she was a lifelong member, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Brownsville Funeral Home has charge. She was a member of David Craig Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. High, the widow of Will Ford High, leaves two daughters, Emily Hartnett of Dallas and Anita Myers of Germantown; two sisters, Mrs. Forrest Peck of Oneonta, AL, and Rose Andre of Knoxville, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
