Memorial services for Judy M. Eggen will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tom Sahlstrom officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to services at the church. Inurnment will take place at the Brookside Cemetery near Milaca. Providing music for Judy's service will be the Country Drifters.

Judy Mae Eggen was born July 7, 1941 to Stuart and Violet (Harvey) Packard in Milaca, Minnesota. She married Neil Eggen on November 9, 1958 and to this union five children were born. They lived and raised their children beginning in Saint Paul, then to Hugo, then to Forest Lake, and eventually moving back to their hometown of Milaca, in 1982. She had various jobs, but was mostly a wife and mother. She loved spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, bowling, canning tomatoes, cooking, fishing, country music, playing cards and playing pool, and the 2:00 social hour at Elim.

Judy passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Milaca Elim Home at the age of 69 years, 9 months, and 18 days after a cancer diagnosis in February

She is survived by her husband, Neil; daughters, Tracy (Dave) Hayde of Milaca, Gayle Eggen of Saint Paul, Cheryl (Lee) Eggen-Morgan of Milaca, Jennifer (Jake) Carlson of Milaca, and son, Bruce of Coon Lake; grandchildren, Ed (Kristin) Peterson, Dave and friend Shannon, Jacob, Aaron, Michael, Brennon, Tony, Brianna, Brooklyn, Clara, Bethany, and Bryce; one great-grandson, Nicholas; siblings, Mark (Char) Packard of Nevada, Mary Evenson of Milaca, Jon Packard and friend Betty Manthie of Milaca, Patricia Welker of WA, and Stuart (Pat) Packard of Milaca; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Jay Packard.

She will be missed by many.

Arrangements are being handled by the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca.
