Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Snashall

Married: Wednesday, June 26, '01, at the home of the bride's parents on park street, Miss Mabel Snashall and Fred L. Janes, both of Evansville.

One of the prettiest home weddings ever held in this city occured last Thursday afternoon at four o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Snashall when their daughter Mabel exchanged marriage vows with Fred L. Janes in the presence of about a hundred relatives and friends.

Rev. Mr. Short read the marriage service and the bridal pair was attended by Miss Ida Young and Mr. Gordon.

The parlors were prettily decorated with blossoms peculiar to the month and furnished a picture long to be remembered by the guests.

This is no need for us to go into detail regarding the superior qualities which make up the character of these young people for they have lived in our midst since childhood and are held in highest esteem by all.

Their popularity was further evidenced by the many beautiful gifts from friends which will later find place in the new home.

An elaborate wedding repast daintly served was one of the pleasing and much enjoyed features of the event.

Much to the chagrin of the guests the bridal pair were driven overland to the County seat and thus escaped many parting blessings in the form of rice, rose petals, old shoes, etc.

The Badger extends congratulations.
