BUCYRUS: Linda J. Pollitt, 67 of Bucyrus, passed away on Friday at 7:52 pm in Bucyrus Community Hospital. Mrs. Pollitt was born Oct. 17, 1943 in Vanceburg, KY to the late Cecil and Daisy (Mustard) Lewis. She was married May 12, 1962 to Jimmie N. Pollitt who preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 2005. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother Russell Lewis and sisters Phyllis Chinn and Helen Doyle.
Linda is survived by sons Todd (Penny) Pollitt, Bucyrus; Toby (Renee) Pollitt, Hilliard; grandchild Nathan Todd Pollitt; brother Jerry Lewis, Vanceburg; and sister Sheila Stidam of Garrison, KY
Linda moved to Bucyrus with her husband in 1966. She was a homemaker and for a short time worked at the Sandwich Shop and Revco. She enjoyed spending time with her grandson, reading, NASCAR, and Elvis Presley.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Dickerson Funeral Home, Vanceburg with Bro. Wes Cooper officiating, burial will follow in Black Oak Cemetery. Friends may call at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home in Bucyrus on Sunday from 5-8 pm and again on Monday at Dickerson Funeral Home from 5-8 pm.
