A Mass was offered at St. Joseph the Carpenter Church, Roselle, following the funeral from the Sullivan Funeral Home, 146 E. Second Ave., Roselle.
Mr. Palmowski worked in the maintenance department at the Federal Warehouse in Edison for 22 years, retiring in 1981. Earlier, he was an assembler for General Motors in Linden.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was the recipient of a Purple Heart and was a member of the American Legion Post 328 in Clark.
He lived in Old Bridge before moving to Roselle 41 years ago. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Debbie Broxmeyer and Mrs. Joanne Pigatore; son, Martin J.; brother, John; sisters, Mrs. Blanche Starnick, Mrs. Catherine Pasternack and Mrs. Susan Lauro; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
