Age 81, Lawton - Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Willoughby, Associate Pastor, officiating.

Mr. Garrison died Sunday in Snyder.

Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.at the funeral home.

He was born on February 26, 1925 in Elmer, OK to Hubert L. and Elizabeth (Lane) Garrison. He graduated from Headrick High School and then attended both Oklahoma Baptist University and Cameron College. While at OBU he preached at mission churches near Wynnewood and worked at the Shawnee Milling Co. He also worked around Altus and for a time worked at Becker Funeral Home in Lawton. He was employed as a computer programmer at Tinker Air Force Base for 3 years, Service Pipeline Oil Company in Tulsa for 15 years, and Oklahoma State University for 21 years when he retired. After his retirement he and his wife traveled with the Oklahoma Baptist Builders, a group of retired couples. He married Mary Manning on August 17, 1947 in Lawton.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Gracie Garrison of Lawton; a daughter, Sandra Garrison of Billings, OK; 3 grandchildren, Tony Garrison of Texarkana, TX, Robert and Tina (Montemayor) Haring of Fort Hood, TX, and Ricky Montemayor of Laredo, TX; 5 great grandchildren Cristi Haring, Sabrina Haring, Colton Haring, Nicky Montemayor and Ari Montemayor; 2 brothers, Norman Garrison, and Alvin Garrison and his wife Zona Lee; a sister and brother-in-law, Floyd and Edith Seay, a sister-in-law, Aleen Kinzer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His parents and 2 brothers, Leon and Clarence Garrison preceded him in death.
