WALKERTOWN - Mrs. Annie Snow Collins, 88, died Feb. 19, 2002, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Collins was born Nov. 19, 1913, in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Matthews Snow. She was preceded in death by her husband, S.L. Collins Sr.; four brothers, Charles, Will, Harvey and David Snow; two sisters, Ella Lewis and Cynthia Holbrook; and a stepson, Herman Collins. Surviving are three daughters, Faye Collins, Phyllis (Bob) Williams and Becky Shepherd, all of Walkertown; six stepchildren, Ruby Bailey, Nina (Nick) Robbins, Doris (Harold) Lewis and John (Florence) Collins, all of Winston-Salem; S.L. Collins Jr. (Betsy) of Statesville and Virginia Whitman of Tobaccoville; a sister, Minnie Aycoth of Meadowbrook Manor-Clemmons; and a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Chapel, by the Rev. Hank Keating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's choice.
