"Edwin G. Dingbaum, 83, died Sunday, May 31, 1998, in Mercy Health Center, Dyersville, after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial with military rites: St. Boniface Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where a Scripture service will be held at 3:30 p.m. and a V.F.W. service will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva; four sons, Joseph of Rodgau, Germany, Robert of Iowa City, Paul of Dubuque, and Tim of Iowa City; three daughters, Dina Kompthorne of Dubuque, Mary Chapman of New Vienna, and Nicolette Heer of Dubuque; two brothers, Luvern of Manchester, and Irvin of Oelwein: and five sisters, Antoinette Pasker, Rosemary Pasker and Betty Luensmann, all of Manchester, Luella Pasker of Ryan, and Henrietta Kluesner of Farley."
