Mrs. Edwards was born in Anderson, Kentucky, on May 8, 1884, the daughter of Buck Cornish and Sarah (Bowman) Cornish. She was married in Lawrenceburg, Ky., on June 19, 1905, to George C. Edwards.
In 1907, Mr. and Mrs. Edwards moved to the Mt. Zion community, where they lived until 1935, when they moved to their present farm home near Bearsdale.
Surviving Mrs. Edwards are her husband, a son, G. Kenneth Edwards of Rural Route 1, and one grandson. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 1956, at the Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home in Decatur, Illinois. The place of burial is at Graceland Cemetery in Decatur, Illinois.
