Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Stevinson Chapel, Iberia, for Mrs. Stella C. Pendleton, 90, formerly of Dixon. Mrs. Pendleton died Sunday, May 20, 1973, at the Parkview Colonial Nursing Home, O'Fallon, Ill. She was born May 15, 1883, in Capps in Miller County to Allen and Pauline Brooks Burnett. She was married to the late Charles Pendleton who died in December 1963.

Mrs.Pendleton moved to Granite City, Ill., in 1963 from Dixon.

Surviving are: one son, Joe Lurton, Granite City; nine stepchildren, Mrs. Lula Morrow and Mrs. Georgia Flaugher of Tuscumbia; Dillard Pendleton, Dora Pendleton, Emmitt Pendleton and Jewel Sooter of Dixon; Mrs. Ellen Donaldson, St. Louis, Mrs. Lillie Bryant of Michigan, and Mrs. Ethel Harris of Florida; a brother, Charles Burnett, Granite City; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
