Jackson, Vernelle M., age 74, of Trotwood, Ohio, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital. A native of Marshall, Texas and a resident of Dayton for the majority of her life. She was a graduate of Dunbar High School, Class of 1955. Preceded in death by her parents, George & Rosie Jones son, George Wright. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, James Wright & Wendell Jackson daughter, Sherry Lynne (Anthony) Gay, all of Dayton aunt, Australia Williams of Houston, TX grandchildren, William, Gabriella, Darius & Kadijah a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Rev. Johnny Vance officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens. Visitation 9 am Thursday at the funeral home until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
