Born February 10, 1837, (perhaps to Hans and Ingen Solberg) in Norway and immigrated to America in 1868. He married March 24, 1868. He and his wife Karen (Fagre) homesteaded a farm on the shores of what is now Lake Solberg in Douglas County MN They had 8 children(only Anna marries) all but Anna are buried in Zionsborg.
