Born in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Wesley Rauch and Lizzie Julieann Rauch. She was a homemaker, and a member of Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the church.
She was preceded in death by four husbands, George Lambert Kirby, Leo Tedder, Tennie Hyman and Talbert Cox, two infant children, Christine and Earnestine Kirby, two sisters, Rosa Watford and Lessie Hicks, three brothers, Charlie Rauch, Earl Rauch, and Ray Rauch.
