Death came suddenly to Ed Swenson of here Monday morning at 1:55 am as a result of a heart stroke with which he was afflicted the previous Saturday and was confined to his bed. He never regained consciousness. He was 67 years of age. Prior to Saturday night, he had been in excellent health and the news of this unexpected death came as a shock to his many friends in the community.

Funeral services were held today from the local M. E, Church with Rev. V. Edw. Birch, pastor. Pallbearers were E. A. Akerson, Arvid Walberg, Oscar Strombeck, Peter Swenson, Axel Olson and Ed. Sandstrom. Interment was made at the Fairview Cemetery.

Carl Edward Swenson was born June 2, 1866 on a farm near the Dedon Schoolhouse north of Lindstrom. He attended the school there and grew to manhood in that vicinity. When at the age of 20 years he engaged in the carpenter trade and has worked in that trade ever since. In the year 1900 he was married to Ida Charlotte Gustafson, also of here and moved into the village here where he continued his carpenter business and has resided since.

Mr. Swenson leaves to mourn his loss, his sorrowing wife, a daughter, Mrs. Harold Hone of Madison, WI, 2 brothers, Howard and Harold Swenson of Chicago, IL, 1 brother Swen Swenson of Stacy and two sisters. Mrs. Wiliam Almberg of Chisago City and Mrs. Charles Johnson of here and 2 grandchildren, Howard Jr. and Gwendolyn.

He also leaves many relatives and friends in this community with whom he was held in high respect.
