Death came suddenly to Miss Mary Andrews of Center City Monday. Miss Andrews passed away from an unexpected heart condition at the home of her sister, Mrs. Lilly Lorens, sometime during the day. Mrs. Lorens had been away during the day and it is believed that Miss Andrews died between 5:00 and 6:00 that afternoon. She was 79 years, 9 mo, and 10 days.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Friday afternoon at 2:00 from the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church with Rev. J. Henry Bergren officiating. Pallbearers will be Alfred Jonason, Leonard Johnson, George Rolig, Axel Carlson, Alfred Johnson, and M. K. Peterson. Interment will be in the cemetery of the church. The body will lie in state at the church from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Miss Andrews was born on a farm located on what is now the site of the Lindstrom-Center City High School in the year of 1861, the daughter of pioneer parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Andrews. Years later the family moved to the place now occupied by Andrew Froberg family and lived there until 35 years ago when Miss Andrews moved to Center City. For a number of years, she was engaged in the millinery business in Lindstrom, having a shop in the Radio building here. After going to Center City she started another millinery shop and carried on business there until her retirement about 3 ½ years ago. Her sister, Mrs. Lorens was a partner in their shop at Center City and the two lived together.

Ever since her confirmation, June 4, 1876, in her early years Miss Andrews has been a member of the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday School there for a period of 50 years setting somewhat of a record in this field. Her faithful service to the church was felt in the Ladies Aid, the mission and in much of the work carried on there during these many years. At the time of her passing she was one of the eldest members.

She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Lilly Lorens of Center City, another sister, Mrs. Louise Glader and a brother Ed Andrew of Lindstrom, 4 nephews and 2 nieces.

NOTE: It is believed she was reinterred at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom, MN
