ARLENE J. DENISON, 82

Arlene J. Denison, 82, of Fremont, died Oct. 13, 2005, at the Saunders County Care Center in Wahoo.

Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 17, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Interment was at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, east of Winslow.

Arlene J. Denison was born Jan. 16, 1923, in rural Hooper to William and Luella (Kuss) Pawling. She moved with her family to Fremont in 1934; lived in Winslow from 1948 to 1955; in Fremont from 1955 to 1961; and in Arlington from 1961 to 1993, when she moved back to Fremont.

She worked at the former Woolworth's Department Store from 1941 until 1946, then worked for 13 years at the former Memorial Hospital of Dodge County Annex (now known as the A. J. Merrick Manor) as a resident care technician. She most recently was employed at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, where she worked as a visitation attendant from 1993 to 2002.

On Nov. 7, 1945, she married Duane Denison at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Mrs. Denison was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church; the Trinity Lutheran Women, Sarah Circle; and was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post No. 71, Arlington.

She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Marlene Denison of Lincoln; Rodney Denison of Columbus; Roger Denison of Valley; and Gary and Sheryl Denison of Blair; daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Greg Benne of Fremont; 10 grandchildrren; six great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Marion Pawling of Hoopeer; sister and brother-in-law, LaRae and Duane Moseman of Hooper; two sisters-in-law, Marie Pawling of Fremont and Millie Pawling of Hooper.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane, in 1993; stepmother, Esther Pawling; and two brothers, Maynard and Duane Pawling.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer's Association.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
