COTTONDALE Joyce Marie Barger, age 84, of Cottondale, died Aug. 19, 2011, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Leon White officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Jackson and Clara Bell Hill Cook; her brothers, Martin Harold Cook and Otis Ray Cook; her sister, Georgia Faye Cook; her granddaughter, Patricia Haynie; and her nephew whom she raised as her own, Johnny Cook.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Leroy J. Barger of Cottondale; her daughter, Jane Haynie of West Hartford, Conn.; her sons, David M.
