Mrs. Carroll died at 10 a.m. Thursday (May 13, 1993) at Desert Samaritan Hospital, Mesa, Ariz.
She was born Oct. 1, 1930, at McLean, a daughter of Caphais and Verda King Eads. She married Edward J. Carroll May 10, 1952, at Bloomington. He survives.
Other survivors include her mother, Normal; four sons, Mark, Austin, Texas; Daniel and David, both of Bloomington; and Steven, Chandler, Ariz.; three daughters, Peggy Bengson, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Theresa Wilz, Rohnert Park, Calif.; and Jane Boone, Chandler, Ariz.; one sister, Gladys Schulze, East Peoria; and nine grandchildren.
Her father, four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Carroll was a receptionist at Illinois State University for 13 years. In 1986, the Carrolls retired to Chandler, Ariz.
She was a former member of Holy Trinity Church, Bloomington.
