Grandson of Jes Iverson and Hanna Christine Rurup.

His obituary appears in the Salinas Californian issue dated 26 June 1950 pg 7 and mentions his nickname of Jimmy, he was a native of Salinas, and passed away at his home in Salinas. Fraternally he was a member of the Salinas Elk, and one of their oldest members. He is survived by his wife, Anita (Birdie) of Pajaro street, two sisters, Mrs Chris Thorp and Mrs H G Hunt. Two brothers, Jack and Martin, preceded him in death.
